Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to promoting mechanised
farming in the state. This pledge was made during his visit to two private mechanised farms, SAO Agro Farms and JB
Farms Limited, located in Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area.
Aiyedatiwa expressed admiration for the transformation of the once-dense forest into a highly productive agricultural
enterprise. He commended the farms’ extensive infrastructure development, including road construction and a
modern processing mill.
The governor acknowledged the significant investment made by the farms, emphasizing that it went beyond just
planting palm trees. He noted that the company had built roads and was constructing a modern processing mill,
which would be completed next year.
Aiyedatiwa directed that all illegal farmers on the farmland should vacate the premises, promising to provide
alternative farmland to the displaced farmers. This move aims to ensure that the legitimate farmers can operate without hindrance.
