The Premium Bakers Association of Nigeria (PBAN) has reiterated its commitment to addressing the challenges facing the baking industry.
This was revealed in the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the election of new officers to pilot the association’s work in the coming year. The Annual General Meeting is a landmark event in the baking industry, where key stakeholders gather, including esteemed members and industry leaders, to reflect on achievements of the past year and chart a roadmap for the future. Additionally, during the meeting, various issues were discussed including the challenges of bakers in the industry, the importance of maintaining high standards in bread production, and the need for Cooperation among members to solve common problems.
However, the bread manufacturing industry requires necessary government protection due to its crucial importance in the food value chain for the masses. The Association also welcomes new members who demonstrate a passion for baking and a commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and innovation in the bakery industry.
PBAN renames the conference to reflect the continent’s role in global trade. As an association, we recognize the important role bakers play in providing essential food products to Nigerians and supporting the local economy.
We are committed to supporting our members through training, advocacy, and networking opportunities to help them grow and develop their businesses.
One of the highlights of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders is the democratic process of electing a new Executive Board to take PBAN into its next chapter of growth and excellence. Committed to transparency and accountability, members vote to elect passionate and visionary leaders who will lead the association toward its strategic goals.

The names and functions of the members of the Executive Committee are Emmanuel Onuorah – Chairman; Abayomi Awe – vice president; Emmanuel Onyoh – Secretary General; Abayomi Okikiola – Deputy Secretary General; Kene Mbuba – Treasurer; Babalola Thomas – Director of Public and Industry Relations; Ekaette Okoi – Deputy Head of Public and Industry Relations; Adijat Olaniyi-Olopade – Financial Secretary; Adebiyi Adebowale – Auditor; Oludare Oladeji-Ojo – Compliance Officer and Principal; Abisola Dejonwo-Tokan – Welfare Officer “We are delighted to have successfully concluded our AGM and Exco elections,” said Emmanuel Onuorah, Chairman of PBAN.
