Former Anambra State Governor , Peter Obi blasts Tinubu over the alarming level of insecurity devastating Nigeria in recent times.
In a strongly worded statement, Obi expressed concern about the daily killings, bombings, and general lawlessness across many regions.
Obi noted that the loss of innocent lives has become so frequent that Nigerians now regard it as normal news.
The Peter Obi blasts Tinubu statement listed chilling incidents including recent bombings, bandit attacks, and mass killings in several states.
In Kano, a bomb exploded on Saturday, killing five and injuring several, further intensifying nationwide public fear and panic.
He highlighted other tragedies: 12 wedding guests were killed in Plateau, and a suicide bomber struck in Borno State.
Obi also pointed out that Kebbi lost over 30 people in a bandit raid, with Katsina also reporting deadly attacks.
In his words, “A country that is not at war should not witness such horrifying daily carnage and mass bloodshed.”
He questioned whether the government feels any empathy for grieving citizens or plans serious action to address these atrocities.
The Peter Obi blasts Tinubu remarks criticized leaders for appearing indifferent while ordinary Nigerians live in constant fear and trauma.
He said insecurity must be treated as a national emergency and not just another routine political talking point during press briefings.
Obi urged authorities to accept criticism as constructive, insisting it is vital to improve security and rebuild public trust.
He warned that continued bloodshed not only threatens lives but also harms Nigeria’s global image and investment reputation.
Calling for unity, Obi stressed the need for a collective national response to halt the growing insecurity across the country.
“Nigerians deserve to live,” he concluded, adding that urgent steps must be taken to restore safety and human dignity nationwide.
