On Thursday night, Peter Obi slams Tinubu for allowing rising lawlessness and human rights violations under his administration in Nigeria.
The former Labour Party presidential candidate condemned the demolition of his younger brother’s property in Lagos by unnamed agents.
In a statement, Peter Obi slams Tinubu for failing to uphold justice, saying the country’s security and rule of law are worsening.

Obi warned that no nation with institutional lawlessness can become attractive to investors or guarantee citizens’ rights and protection.
He added that deteriorating human rights under Tinubu’s watch reflect broader failures in governance, liberty, and civil protections.
Obi said he is personally facing human rights abuse simply for contesting the 2023 presidential election as allowed by law.

“If I can face this, imagine what the ordinary Nigerian goes through daily,” Peter Obi slams Tinubu again in his remarks.
Obi narrated how his youngest brother, a businessman, arrived Lagos from Port Harcourt only to find their company property demolished.
Security personnel reportedly barred his brother from entering the property, saying demolition had started earlier without prior notice or permit.

According to Obi, those on-site claimed they had a court order against squatters—not the registered owners of the property.
When he asked to see a demolition order or valid permit, none was produced by those carrying out the operation.
The former Anambra governor emphasized the need for legal due process and accountability in all government actions nationwide.

He called on President Tinubu to restore confidence in Nigeria’s legal system by halting unlawful actions and protecting citizens’ rights.
Obi concluded that Nigeria cannot claim progress while lawlessness prevails and the vulnerable continue to suffer injustice and neglect.
