Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang extends his sincere greetings to the children of Plateau, Nigeria, and beyond, on the occasion of the 2024 Children’s Day celebration.
In a statement signed by the Director of Press and Public Affairs Gyang Bere, Mutfwang commended the resilience, dedication, and unwavering determination of Nigerian children in pursuit of their aspirations, despite the challenges they encounter in their educational journey.
The declaration underscored that as the vanguards of tomorrow and the architects of Nigeria’s future, children are divine gifts deserving of unwavering care, guidance, and support from parents, government, and policymakers, to cultivate an environment conducive to their comprehensive development.

The governor urged parents to embrace their pivotal role as primary nurturers of children by instilling the values of integrity and godliness in them. He also advocated for mentorship under the guidance of teachers and altruistic individuals to collectively cultivate a society imbued with moral rectitude and devoid of crime.
Governor Mutfwang highlighted the advancements achieved by his administration over the past year in establishing robust frameworks and prioritizing the restoration of quality education in the state, catering to the needs of children and the burgeoning youth population.

He emphasized the incorporation of innovative learning methodologies and digitalization within the educational landscape to expand the cognitive horizons of children in Plateau State and empower them to compete on a global scale.
Mutfwang cautioned perpetrators of child trafficking, child labor, violence against children, or any form of abuse, of the unwavering stance of his administration, promising prompt and resolute action against such offenders.
On behalf of the government and people of Plateau State, Governor Mutfwang extended warm congratulations to the children of Plateau as they celebrate this year’s Children’s Day. He encouraged them to enjoy the festivities, brimming with joy, love, and laughter, while reflecting on their dreams and aspirations.
