The Plateau State Police Command has revealed that cases of ritual killings in the state are minimal. According to the command’s Public Relations Officer, Alfred Alabo, there is no evidence to suggest that ritual killings are prevalent in the state.
Alabo made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Jos. He stated that the command has not received any intelligence reports suggesting the existence of a human parts market or cannibals in the state.
The police spokesperson, however, admitted that there have been cases of internet fraudsters, also known as Yahoo boys, who kill and harvest human body parts for ritual purposes. He noted that these individuals are often directed by native doctors who promise to boost their powers and chances of success.
Alabo also acknowledged the rise in cases of kidnapping, armed robbery, and cultist activities in the state. He urged parents to speak to their children about the dangers of joining cultist groups or engaging in internet fraud.

Lubo also emphasized the need for parents to educate their children about the dangers of cultism and internet fraud. He noted that these vices can have devastating consequences for individuals and society as a whole.
The Plateau State Police Command has assured residents that it is working to address the security challenges facing the state. The command has urged citizens to report any suspicious activities or information that could aid in the prevention of crime.
