On Sunday, Portugal and Spain played the nations league final. The match was a tough play ending 2-2 at full-time. This led to penalty shootout between the teams.
Nuno Mendes and Christiano Ronaldo scored for Portugal. Zubimendi and M. Oyarzabal scored for Spain. Portugal won the game with penalty shootout aggregate of 5-3 against Spain.
Cristiano said he felt injury prior to the match but had to play for his country despite the slight discomfort.
“I felt the injury since the warm-up, it’s been bothering me for a while. But for Portugal, if I had to break my leg, I would do it. It’s a title, I had to play and gave everything,” he said.
