Protest Erupts Outside LA Hotel Over Trump’s USA Immigration Raids

A powerful protest titled No Sleep for ICE shook the outskirts of Los Angeles on Thursday night after dark over the USA Immigration raids being carried out by the Immigration and Custom Enforcement.
Roughly fifty demonstrators gathered outside a hotel, banging pots and blasting air horns to disturb federal immigration agents.
The loud protest spotlighted frustration with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, over the USA Immigration raids which is central to Trump’s controversial immigration enforcement agenda.

Activist Nathanael Landaverde questioned, “They terrorise us all day—why should ICE sleep peacefully?” while clanging a frying pan.
No Sleep for ICE wasn’t just noise—it was a demand for justice and dignity in immigrant communities under threat.
Demonstrators held signs reading “ICE out of LA” and “No Rest for ICE,” aiming them toward hotel windows above.

Some hotel guests peeked out while others ignored the noise, but protesters kept dancing, shouting, and sounding sirens anyway.
One protester, Juliet Austin, played an accordion and said ICE agents “can’t rest while tearing families apart nightly.”
Photographic evidence allegedly proved ICE agents were inside, although their presence at the three-star hotel remained unconfirmed officially.

Many demonstrators expressed concern about masked agents, a tactic that raised constitutional red flags among civil liberties advocates.
Critics, like Cato Institute’s Walter Olson, warned of “secret police” tactics undermining democratic transparency and legal accountability.
Despite public outrage, ICE has shared arrest photos online and received strong praise from President Trump in recent days.

Trump has doubled down, calling ICE agents brave patriots showing “incredible strength” during mass detentions across the country.
California lawmakers responded with the proposed “No Secret Police Act,” aiming to ban anonymous federal raids statewide.
No Sleep for ICE protests may grow louder as long as raids continue and communities feel under siege nightly.

Thursday’s rally ended late, but participants vowed continued action until ICE agents stop targeting immigrant families with fear.
