The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, while attending the 5th edition of the Annual Conference and Retreat for Senior Police Officers in Abeokuta, Ogun State has tasked commands of the Nigeria Police Force to implement a comprehensive action plan aimed at reducing crime rates by 50% in 2025.
The theme of the 2025 CARSPO is ‘Improving Nigeria’s Internal Security and Economic Prosperity Through Inclusive Policing.’
The theme, according to IGP Egbetokun, is consistent with President Bola Tinubu’s security agenda and highlights the NPF’s resolve to develop a police force that is professionally skilled, intelligence-driven, and prepared to proactively address new threats.
In the fight against abduction, banditry, and other organized crime, he claims that the increased operations and dedication to collaboration with the military and other security agencies are yielding noteworthy outcomes.
