Rivers State Governor, Siminialayi Fubara, has made a passionate appeal to his opponents to consider the interest of

the state and join him in his quest for peace and development. Fubara made the call during the inauguration of the

remodelled Grammar School, Okirika, which was facilitated by his administration.

The governor’s appeal comes on the heels of the Supreme Court‘s judgment, which has brought a measure of closure

to the state’s political landscape. Fubara emphasized the importance of peace and development, stating that his

administration’s primary focus is on providing quality education, healthcare, and infrastructure to the people of Rivers State.

Fubara’s call for peace has been welcomed by many, who see it as a positive step towards healing the state’s political

wounds. The governor’s commitment to development is evident in the remodeling of the Grammar School, Okirika,

which is expected to provide a conducive learning environment for students.

The Commissioner for Education, Dr. Ovy, revealed that the contract for the remodeling of the school was awarded in

April 2024 and was duly funded to completion by the governor. The Head of Okirika Local Government Administration,

Mrs. Lasiki Hart, praised the governor’s visionary leadership, stating that the remodeling of the school is a clear

demonstration of his administration’s commitment to providing quality education.

State. The governor’s commitment to peace and development is a welcome departure from the state’s tumultuous political past.

As the state moves forward, it is essential to maintain a sense of optimism and cooperation. Fubara’s call for peace

has set the tone for a new era of politics in Rivers State, one that prioritizes development and the well-being of the people.

As the people of Rivers State look to the future, they can take heart in the knowledge that their governor is committed

to peace, development, and the well-being of all citizens.
