The Rivers State Government has dismissed reports of a court order preventing the newly appointed Sole
Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd.), from resuming office. According to the Chief of Staff to the
suspended governor, Siminalayi Fubara, Dr Edison Ehie, the reports are false and malicious.
Ehie described the claims as the work of “low minds” who are bent on escalating political tensions in the state. He
emphasized that the reports are baseless and intended to mislead the public.
