Rivers State Police Command has organised a special interactive session with members of the Rivers State Chapter of the National Association of Retired Police Officers, at the weekend.
The meeting which held at the Police Officers’ Mess Old GRA in Port Harcourt, saw cream of retired Police officers , it was geared towards a meaningful discussion and interaction between the command”s management team led by the Commissioner of Police CP Olugbenga A. Adepoju and retired officers.
During the engagement, the Command seeks to understand better, the needs and concerns of retired Police Officers, while communicating its initiatives and plans for enhancing their welfare.
In his address, CP Adepoju conveyed a significant message, emphasizing the commitment to enhancing the welfare and living standards of retired Police Officers. He underscored the importance of this initiative and solicited the understanding and cooperation of the retired Officers as the Police Authorities works towards achieving these goals.
Senior retired Police Officers, including Dr. Mrs. Abuwa Adenike AIG rtd and Mrs. Peterside Tamunomie AIG rtd. participated actively in the session. They expressed their individual and collective support for the Police Authorities aspirations and further affirmed their willingness to collaborate in sustaining the efforts aimed at improving the welfare of retired Officers.
At the end of the season the command commended the retired officers that were present, as they equally appreciate their meaningful contributions.
