The 25-year-old goalkeeper has impressed since his promotion to Roma’s first-choice shot-stopper, prompting the club to accelerate renewal talks.
Initially signed from Benfica in 2022, Svilar was expected to play a backup role to Rui Patrício. However, his performances under Daniele De Rossi last season solidified his place as the club’s undisputed No. 1, ultimately leading to the departure of the veteran Portuguese keeper.
Roma is moving swiftly to finalize a four-year contract extension for the Belgian-Serbian goalkeeper. The proposed deal would see his salary increase to around €3 million per year, a significant jump reflecting his growing importance within the squad.
