Governor Sanwo-Olu, however, came to the area Thursday morning to assess the quality of the job. He expressed regret to Lagos residents for the traffic issue and said that more should have been done to inform the state’s citizens about the developments.
Initially, the Federal Government had ordered ‘immediate reopening’ of Independence bridge in Lagos after hours-long gridlock. However, it was confirmed that as of the time the Federal Ministry of Works ordered the immediate reopening of the Independence Bridge in Lagos, work had already begun.
