Shehu Sani Alleges Protests in the North Aimed at Overthrowing Tinubu

Shehu Sani, who previously represented Kaduna Central in the National Assembly, has made serious claims about the recent violence in Northern Nigeria during the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protests. Sani suggests that the unrest was part of a coordinated effort to overthrow the government of President Bola Tinubu.

In a recent interview, Sani alleged that he had received intelligence reports indicating that, several days into the protests, money, and foreign flags were distributed to youths in Northern states. According to Sani, this was part of a deliberate strategy to incite chaos and disrupt the government.

Sani described the situation by saying, “A day before the last protest, money was handed out to youths, and Russian flags were also distributed. This indicates that the protests were not just about the government’s policies and programs. Instead, there was an underlying agenda to create unrest and instability with the ultimate goal of toppling the government.”

He elaborated that these actions were aimed at creating a volatile environment conducive to overthrowing the current administration. “The distribution of money and foreign flags was intended to incite disorder and lawlessness. It’s clear that there was a strategic plan to destabilize the country. When you have such a situation, it becomes apparent that someone is orchestrating a scenario of anarchy,” Sani remarked.

Sani emphasized that the protests, which started as a reaction to the government’s policies, evolved into something more dangerous. He believes that the real motive behind the protests was to set the stage for a government takeover. “The intention behind these protests was not merely to address grievances about government policies but to create a scenario where the government could be overthrown,” he added.

The former senator’s claims suggest a level of premeditated disruption that goes beyond ordinary dissent. He argues that it’s crucial for people to be aware of these alleged schemes and to understand that such actions can have severe consequences for national stability.
