The Supreme Court has upheld the victory of Ahmed Usman Ododo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the recent governorship election conducted in Kogi State on November 11, 2023.
In a ruling delivered on Friday, a five-member panel of the Supreme Court determined that the appeal filed by the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and its candidate, Yakubu Muritala Ajaka, designated as SC/CV/654/2024, lacked merit and was therefore dismissed.
Justice Sadiq Umar, who authored and presented the lead judgment, addressed and resolved all three issues raised for consideration in the appeal against the appellants.
