The Director of Finance at Hadejia Jama’are River Basin Development Authority (HJRBDA), Dr. Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso, has expressed confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
Speaking to journalists in Kano, Kwankwaso dismissed the opposition alliance involving former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, NNPP’s 2023 presidential candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso, and former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai.
Kwankwaso described the alliance as a coalition of “self-centered politicians with nothing to offer Nigerians.” He questioned the potential impact of the alliance on Tinubu’s chances in the 2027 general election, stating that each member of the alliance brings little to the table.
Kwankwaso criticized Rabiu Kwankwaso, saying he clings to the achievements of others to stay relevant. He also advised Kwankwaso’s supporters to be cautious, citing his treatment of the Kano State governor, Abba Yusuf.

Turning to Atiku Abubakar, Kwankwaso questioned his commitment to good governance. He noted that many Nigerians wonder if Atiku genuinely stands for progress, given his association with politicians who backed Buhari’s eight years of insecurity, maladministration, and human rights violations.
Kwankwaso also dismissed El-Rufai, describing him as a wanderer who jumps from one place to another while always missing out in action. He stated that the SDP, where El-Rufai has defected to, is a dead party that cannot produce a president in Nigeria in 2027.
The HJRBDA Finance director advised Atiku and his coalition members to have peace of mind by allowing President Tinubu to fix the country in eight years. He expressed confidence in Tinubu’s ability to deliver on his promises and secure re-election in 2027.
