Chelsea tabled a new price bid to sign Barcelona’s attacking midfielder, Fermin Lopez after manager Enzo Maresca held talks with the player.
The Blues are interested in signing Lopez from Barcelona this summer, to boost their squad.
Chelsea reportedly made an opening bid for the Spain international, worth around £43million, earlier in the week however the offer rejected by the LaLiga champions.
According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona wants £78million for Lopez.
Lopez is said to be seriously considering his future at the Blaugrana and has reportedly had several phone calls with Chelsea’s Maresca.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are still working on several deals ahead of next Monday’s transfer deadline.
The London club has finally agreed a deal with Manchester United to sign the winger Alejandro Garnacho.
Garnacho’s move to Stamford Bridge will take the Blues’ summer spending to £300m but Maresca’s side are yet to conclude their transfer signings at the moment.
