The Troost-Ekong Foundation has officially announced a strategic collaboration with Propel Sports Africa, a prominent sports media company. The agreement designates Propel Sports Africa, including its subsidiary African Sports Network, as the exclusive broadcast and streaming partner for all Troost-Ekong Foundation events and initiatives.
William Troost-Ekong, the founder of the foundation and captain of the Super Eagles, expressed his excitement about the partnership. He commended Propel Sports’ NPFL Live streaming platform for its seamless access to the Nigerian top league for fans in Nigeria and abroad. Troost-Ekong noted that this development aligns perfectly with the foundation’s core mission of providing opportunities and resources to young Nigerian football enthusiasts.
The official unveiling of the Troost-Ekong Foundation is scheduled for June 2 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, featuring a celebrity football match at 4 pm. The event will showcase current and former Eagles players, as well as appearances by various celebrities.
The captivating match will be produced by Propel Sports Africa and broadcast live in Nigeria on the NPFL Live platform and globally on the African Sports Network. Additionally, William Troost-Ekong has expressed interest in exploring collaborations with Propel Sports Africa to facilitate the global streaming of NPFL matches.
Basil Kabbani, Chairman of Propel Sports Africa, emphasized the company’s commitment to empowering Nigerian youth. He described the partnership with William Troost-Ekong and his foundation as a prime opportunity to support and nurture the aspirations of young Nigerians.
Propel Sports Africa currently holds the broadcasting rights for Nigeria Premier Football League matches, deploying 10 cameras across the 20 NPFL venues.
