U.S. President Donald Trump has announced an Iran Israel ceasefire agreement following nearly two weeks of intense armed conflict.
The violent standoff saw dozens of missiles exchanged between both nations, escalating fears of a broader Middle East war.
Trump revealed the Iran Israel ceasefire agreement in a post on Truth Social, celebrating the end of the twelve-day war.
He stated the ceasefire would begin “in approximately six hours,” allowing both sides to wind down military operations gradually.
According to Trump, “Iran will begin the ceasefire, followed by Israel within 12 hours, marking a complete and total ceasefire.”
The Iran Israel ceasefire agreement, according to Trump, would officially conclude the conflict by the 24th hour of implementation.
Trump praised both countries, commending their courage, intelligence, and restraint in bringing a swift end to the dangerous conflict.
He described the outcome as a potential turning point, preventing a devastating war that could have engulfed the entire region.
Iran, however, has not confirmed the ceasefire, stating it will halt operations only if Israel ends its attacks first.
Iran’s foreign minister, Seyed Araghchi, clarified that “no official ceasefire agreement exists” as of the latest government communication.
He warned Iran would continue retaliation unless Israeli military aggression ceased no later than 4:00 a.m. Tehran local time.
Despite Iran’s skepticism, Trump insisted the agreement would hold, calling the effort a major success for regional peace and diplomacy.
He concluded his remarks by invoking blessings on all involved nations and expressing hope for a more peaceful Middle East.
Observers now await official confirmation and compliance from both governments, as global leaders cautiously monitor the ceasefire’s next critical hours.
