Hilda Dokubo, a veteran Nollywood actress, has officially debunked the false rumors surrounding her death,
confirming that she is alive and well. In a candid Instagram live session, Dokubo expressed her frustration over the
continuous circulation of death rumors about her, which are often spread by various blogs.
She emphasized her commitment to speaking out on critical political and governance issues, dispelling the notion
that her death was anything more than a baseless rumor. The death rumors reportedly started on Facebook, where a
claim surfaced that Dokubo was allegedly organizing a rally with suspended Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara, to
pressure President Bola Tinubu and Minister Nyesom Wike.
Reacting to the claim, Dokubo asserted that she has no involvement in organizing rallies and that her interests lie in
dancing and making speeches, not in political movements. She made it clear that, despite the rumors, she remains in
good health and intends to continue her advocacy for good governance.
“I’m alive, healthy, and strong,” Dokubo stated during the live session, addressing her followers directly. She shared
how rumors about her death had frequently appeared online, pointing out that blogs often circulate such stories
about celebrities without any regard for the impact they may have on their families and friends. She revealed that
even her elderly mother had been visited by concerned well-wishers, highlighting the emotional toll such rumors can take on loved ones.

Dokubo, known for her outspoken nature and fearless approach to life, further commented on the false political
allegations that were tied to the rumors. She denied any involvement with political rallies and reaffirmed her
principles. She stressed that she is not easily bribed, stating that she has always stood by the truth and will not be
swayed by monetary incentives. “If I were bribable, I wouldn’t be where I am today,” she said.
The actress also addressed her critics, explaining that she would continue advocating for change and speaking her
mind, regardless of the misinformation spread about her. She rejected any suggestion that she would wish harm upon
anyone, emphasizing that her position on political issues is not born out of bitterness. Instead, she clarified that she
believes in advocating for what is right and standing firm in the face of adversity.
