Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu has expressed support for the US President Donald Trump’s decision to suspend attacks against Iran for two weeks.
Netanyahu said the ceasefire does not include Lebanon, Israeli media and his office reported on Wednesday.
The Prime Minister’s office also added that it backs up the decision, subject to Iran’s opening of the straits and halting attacks.
This is coming against the backdrop of Trump’s announcement for a two-week ceasefire.
“This will be a double-sided CEASEFIRE!” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.
“The reason for doing so is that we have already met and exceeded all Military objectives, and are very far along with a definitive Agreement concerning long term peace with Iran, and peace in the Middle East,” Trump added.
