Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, has boldly declared the 2027 elections as “Operation Show Your Scorecard.”
He criticized Mark for serving eight years as Senate President without constructing a road to his hometown, Otukpo.
Instead, Wike said, Mark resorted to flying helicopters home, neglecting basic infrastructure for his own people.
Speaking in Gwagwalada during a road commissioning, Wike slammed opposition leaders for criticizing current government efforts.
Wike challenged ADC leaders to compare their past performances with the visible achievements of the Tinubu administration.
He accused former governor Amaechi of hypocrisy for urging protests while keeping his children safe abroad in London.
Wike questioned the motive behind forming a coalition 18 months into Tinubu’s tenure, calling it premature and deceptive.
He asked, “Why launch a coalition against a government still settling into office and delivering visible developmental progress?”
Wike challengedthe ADC leaders to explain why they failed to uplift Nigerians despite years of privileged public service.
He insisted opposition leaders are angry not on behalf of Nigerians, but due to lost access to power.
Using his own political victories as proof, Wike argued he consistently delivered despite facing powerful political opposition.
He emphasized, “When you were in office, you didn’t fix Nigeria. Now you’re outside, shouting anger and revolt.”
Wike’s remarks added fuel to the fiery pre-election rhetoric, pressing the opposition to prove credibility through past actions.
