“You Have Always Disrespected my Wife, Talent, and Achievements,” Peter Okoye in an Open Letter to Paul

Peter Okoye, one half of the defunct PSquare duo, has responded to his twin brother and fellow singer, Paul Okoye’s claim that he was the primary songwriter for their music. In an interview, Paul asserted that he composed 99% of the duo’s songs during their time together in the “Get Squared” record label.

In an open letter shared online today, Peter stated that Paul has been giving multiple interviews where he has repeatedly claimed ownership over the songs they performed together. Peter argued that this is incorrect. He explained that whenever he discussed their collaborative work, he consistently used inclusive language like “we” and “us,” but Paul, even when Peter was present, took sole credit for the songs.

Peter accused Paul of showing a lack of respect towards his creative contributions, his wife, his family, and of aligning with their older brother and former manager, Jude, to oppress him. “What do you truly gain by continuously disrespecting and diminishing me?” Peter emphasized that the fans adore the duo primarily because of their special partnership, not solely due to their individual abilities.

Furthermore, Peter declared that he will respond to allegations of him involving Paul and their older sibling, Jude, in an investigation by the EFCC before the day concludes on August 12.
