Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai, who represents the Yobe South Senatorial District, has shown his support and sympathy for the Mafa Community in Tarmuwa Local Government Area following a recent and devastating attack. In a generous gesture, Senator Bomai has donated Ten Million Naira to aid the victims and support the recovery efforts.

The senator was unable to visit personally but sent a delegation from the Yobe State House of Assembly to convey his condolences and offer assistance. This delegation included key members from Zone ‘B’ of the assembly. Their visit aimed to provide comfort and practical support to those affected by the tragedy.

Leading the delegation was the Speaker of the Yobe State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Buba Mashio, who represents the Jajere constituency. Accompanying him were several other representatives from the region, each bringing their support and solidarity to the Mafa Community.

The delegation included Gana Maina Digma, who represents Damagum ‘A’, Sani Ishaku Audu from Fika West, Suleiman Yakubu Maluri of Fika East, Ahmad Adamu BBK representing Potiskum Central, Auwal Isah Mohammed Danchua from Potiskum II, Lawan Saminu Musa of Nangere, and Alhaji Yusuf Shayibu Zaki, an aide to Senator Bomai.

During their visit, the delegation met with the Emir of Jajere, Mai Hamza Ibn Buba Mashio, to express their heartfelt condolences. They relayed Senator Bomai’s sympathies and offered prayers for the victims and their families.

Senator Bomai’s message of sympathy included hopes for the eternal rest of those who lost their lives, swift recovery for the injured, and strength for the families who are mourning their losses. He also prayed for resilience for the people of Yobe State as they face this challenging period.

In addition to their emotional support, the delegation presented a substantial financial donation of Ten Million Naira on behalf of Senator Bomai. This donation is intended to assist those who have been directly affected by the attack, helping them cope with immediate needs and beginning the process of recovery.

The funds will be used to provide essential support, including medical care for the injured, aid for displaced individuals, and other forms of relief to ease the impact of the attack on the community.

Senator Bomai’s actions reflect a commitment to supporting his constituents in times of crisis and underline the importance of solidarity and assistance in the face of adversity. His generous donation, alongside the efforts of the delegation, aims to provide not only immediate relief but also to offer a sense of hope and support to the Mafa Community as they begin to rebuild and recover from this tragic event.

This response from Senator Bomai and his delegation demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility and empathy towards those affected by the attack, reinforcing the community’s resilience and unity during a difficult time.
