Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu, has congratulated President Donald Trump on his historic comeback re-election as the 47th President of the United States of America.
In a keenly contested election between the Republicans and Democrats party, Donald Trump claimed victory on Wednesday and promised to “heal” the country, as results already put him on a stunning White House comeback.

President Tinubu looks forward to enhancing relationships between Nigeria and the United States in the face of the complex opportunities and challenges of the modern world, according to a statement released on Wednesday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.

Nigeria’s President Tinubu said both nations can further foster economic cooperation, promote peace, and address global challenges that affect our citizens.

President Tinubu claims that Trump’s win is a testament to the faith and confidence that the American people have in his ability to lead. He commends them for their dedication to democracy.

President Tinubu is confident that President Trump’s return to the White House as the 47th president will usher in an era of sincere, mutually beneficial, and reciprocal economic and development partnerships between Africa and the United States, especially considering his experience as the 45th president from 2017 to 2021.

The Nigerian president expressed confidence that President Trump will bring the world closer to peace and prosperity, acknowledging the United States’ influence, power, and position in determining the trend and course of global events.
