The Nigerian Navy and Air Force are set to enhance their operational readiness with a combined expenditure of over N77 billion on advanced military assets, according to the 2025 proposed budget. This significant investment aligns with the federal government’s renewed commitment to national security

The Nigerian Navy’s allocation includes N510 million for an Azimuth Stern Drive Tug Boat and N5.97 billion for six special forces boats, three OCEA 32 fast patrol boats, and other essential vessels. The acquisitions reflect the Navy’s focus on improving maritime security and combating piracy.

For the Air Force, allocations include N39.46 billion for six T-129 attack helicopters and N2.75 billion to complete payment for a Beechcraft King Air 350i. Funds have also been designated for the maintenance of Agusta helicopters and a Super Mushshak flight simulator with advanced motion technology, showcasing the Air Force’s focus on precision and technological advancement.
