Exclusive: Labour Party to Propel Peter Obi to 2027 Victory

The Labour Party, LP, asserts its position as the sole vehicle for securing victory for their 2023 candidate, Peter Obi, in the upcoming 2027 presidential election.
The National Vice Chairman of the party, Ayo Olorunfemi, conveyed this declaration during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, which was monitored by Umpirenews.
It should be noted that Peter Obi, who contested for the presidency on the Labour Party ticket in the 2023 election, is facing pressure from certain members of his Obidients support group to depart from the party, which has been plagued by internal strife post-election in anticipation of the 2027 polls.
In response to the calls for Obi to sever ties with the party, Olorunfemi dismissed the notion, stating that genuine Obidients would never advocate for Obi’s departure.

“Those advocating for such a move can be described as delusional. Some individuals may exceed their limits, but the true Obidients, including student unions, Nigerian youths, and hardworking citizens, are disenchanted with the current state of affairs in Nigeria. People are weary of deprivation; which other political party could he join? Return to the PDP, APC, or elsewhere?
“This party is grounded in ideology, we are proponents of social democracy. The founders of this party are staunch believers in social democracy, and that is enshrined in our constitution. Therefore, the Labour Party remains the sole viable option for Peter Obi to clinch victory in the 2027 election, and we are diligently preparing for that,” Olorunfemi emphasized.

He further proclaimed that the former governor of Anambra State is the most qualified presidential candidate Nigeria has yet to witness, expressing optimism that he will emerge victorious in 2027 by the grace of God.
Olorunfemi exuded confidence that the Labour Party will emerge from its current challenges stronger, affirming that the party’s leadership under Julius Abure is committed to fostering peace within the party and facilitating the return of the Lamidi Apapa faction.
The Labour Party firmly believes that Peter Obi is the best candidate for the 2027 presidential election.
Ayo Olorunfemi, the National Vice Chairman, assures that Obi’s victory can only be secured through the Labour Party.
Despite calls for Obi to leave the party, genuine Obidients are against such a move.
Olorunfemi dismisses the idea of Obi joining any other political party, emphasizing the Labour Party’s commitment to social democracy.
The party is preparing diligently for the 2027 election, with confidence in Obi’s qualifications and potential victory.
Olorunfemi expresses optimism that the Labour Party will overcome its challenges and reunite under Julius Abure’s leadership.
