A founding member of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Osita Okechukwu, on Sunday congratulated Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Soludo of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) for his victory and commended President Bola Tinubu.
Okechukwu stated that Soludo’s victory in last Saturday’s Anambra governorship election shows that Nigeria was not moving towards one-party state.
He said a lot of people had speculated that APC and by extension President Tinubu will rig the gubernatorial election.
Okechukwu said Soludo’ victory has put to rest the fears of some members of the opposition and even APC members that Nigeria was moving towards a one-party state under Tinubu-led federal government.
The immediate past Director General of Voice of Nigeria (VON) attributed the defections to APC as result PDP’s error in breaching the rotation/zoning convention and APC’s growing support to the outstanding and remarkable achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in less than three years in office.
