Senator Kabiru Marafa, who is the former Tinubu-Shettima 2023 Presidential Campaign coordinator in Zamfara State, has alleged that the All Progressives Congress-led federal government is planting ‘mines’ in opposition political parties.
Marafa made the allegation on Monday while fielding questions on Channels TV’s Politics Today programme.
The former senator had earlier confirmed his resignation from All Progressives Congress (APC).
Asked about his resignation, Marafa said he is yet to decide which political party he would join.
He said that he was studying the members of various political parties before making a final decision.
He said, “Which party am I going to now? Already the APC is planting land mines everywhere in the political parties, waiting for people – well meaning people that want to defend their people, that want to advance the cause of the people to come in and they will engage them in unnecessary fights in the parties.
“So that is why we said we are not in a hurry, there is still time. Alright, we are going to study the political parties, study the members that are in the political parties before we take a final decision.”
