Former spokesman to ex-National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, Salihu Tanko Yakasai, has said the African Democratic Congress (ADC), won’t succumbed to being factionalised.
Yakasai said whatever gimmicks APC employs to factionalise the ADC won’t work.
He was reacting to the declaration made by ADC’s former national deputy chairman, Nafi’u Bala, that he is the Interim National Chairman of the party.
Bala, a former ADC governorship candidate in Gombe State, claimed it was only natural for him to become the party’s Interim National Chairman by virtue of his former position.
He spoke during a press briefing on Wednesday night in Abuja.
Bala accused the David Mark-led leadership of unlawfully taking over the party and breaching its constitution.
Reacting, Yakasai stated that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), will only recognise and communicate with ADC’s legitimate National Secretary and Chairman.
Yakasai posted on X that these two positions are not occupied by APC moles.
He wrote on X, “Whatever tactics APC employs to factionalize ADC won’t work.
“INEC only recognizes and communicates with a political party through its legitimate chairman and secretary, and fortunately for the coalition, neither position is occupied by an APC mole, unlike PDP, LP and co.”
