The federal government has declared that the upcoming phase of the recruitment drive for the Nigeria Immigration Service and the Federal Fire Service will commence in August. Ja’afaru Ahmed, the Secretary of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board, shared this information in a statement released on Sunday in Abuja. Ahmed further clarified that the Board will conclude the recruitment exercise, originally scheduled to end on June 15, 2024, before the end of September.
“The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board wishes to inform the public the next stage of the recruitment process will begin in August and will be completed before the end of September 2024,” he had stated. The Secretary also announced that all shortlisted candidates will be duly notified of the upcoming recruitment stage through their contact details. He apologised for the inability to complete the exercise as previously planned, he attributed the due to the “nationwide manpower audit exercise carried out in the Nigerian Correctional Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps”, which was just recently concluded.
He said all those shortlisted wills be promptly informed about the next phase through the contact details they provided – their phone numbers and email addresses.
