Chelsea’s title ambitions took a hit after a hard-fought 0-0 draw against a resilient Everton side at Goodison Park. Despite dominating possession and carving out better chances, the Blues failed to find a breakthrough, ending their eight-match winning streak in all competitions. The result widens the gap between second-placed Chelsea and leaders Liverpool, who capitalized with a commanding victory later in the day.

The visitors struggled to break down Everton’s well-organized defense, with Jordan Pickford delivering a standout performance. The Everton goalkeeper denied Nicolas Jackson in a one-on-one situation and watched as the striker’s header struck the post. While Jack Harrison and Iliman Ndiaye missed golden opportunities to grab a winner, Dyche praised his team’s resilience in a game that edged them further from the relegation zone.

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca remained philosophical despite the setback, calling it a “tricky” encounter against a defensively solid team. “Sometimes football isn’t just about how well you play with the ball—it’s about how you deal with challenges,” he said. Maresca’s side, which has been prolific on the road this season, saw their attacking momentum stifled by the Toffees’ robust defence.
