Following a standout performance in midweek, where Raphinha scored twice in the win over Mallorca, Flick confirmed that the Brazilian will feature in the starting lineup against Betis.
Flick had originally planned to rest Raphinha, alongside Robert Lewandowski, in midweek but was reportedly convinced by the player’s determination to stay on the pitch. This weekend, however, the German coach emphasized that Raphinha will not be rested, saying, “We need Raphinha in every game. When he is available and fit, he will play.” Lewandowski will also start after being given a break in the midweek match.
