Hansi Flick has made it clear that Raphinha will be a key figure for Barcelona in their upcoming match against Real Betis, despite the Brazilian’s heavy workload this season. The winger has been instrumental in Barcelona’s strong start to the 2024/25 campaign, scoring 16 goals and providing 10 assists in just 21 appearances. Following a standout performance in midweek, where Raphinha scored twice in the win over Mallorca, Flick confirmed that the Brazilian will feature in the starting lineup against Betis.

Flick had originally planned to rest Raphinha, alongside Robert Lewandowski, in midweek but was reportedly convinced by the player’s determination to stay on the pitch. This weekend, however, the German coach emphasized that Raphinha will not be rested, saying, “We need Raphinha in every game. When he is available and fit, he will play.” Lewandowski will also start after being given a break in the midweek match.

Despite concerns over player fatigue, Raphinha’s fitness levels have been exceptional, and he is known for his dedication to maintaining peak physical condition. Given his current form and importance to the team, Flick is confident that the winger’s contributions will be pivotal in Barcelona’s continued success this season.
