A Congressman of the United States, Riley Moore, has said that he finds it difficult to sleep at night because of the continuous killings of Christians in Nigeria.
Moore made this remark on Thursday at a US Congress public hearing on Nigeria as a ‘Country of Particular Concern’ (CPC), which is investigating Trump’s redesignation of the country.
His comment comes against the backdrop of renewed and escalated insecurity in Nigeria.
Recalls that terrorists on Tuesday stormed a branch of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Eruku town, under Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, killing three worshippers and abducting several others, including the pastor.
Reacting, the US Congressman said, “I find it hard to sleep at night; I pray every single night about the killing of Christians in Nigeria.
“Every night, I’m just thinking about my brothers and sisters in Christ in that country who are murdered for the profession of our Lord Jesus Christ. It’s absolutely heartbreaking,” he said.
