On Tuesday, members of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) National Transition Committee stormed the Labour Party office in Abuja, demanding the resignation of its that National Chairman, Julius Abure, with immediate effect.

Aduwaheed Omar, the acting Chairman of the National Transition Committee, led the labour union members to the secretariat where they chanted patriotic songs and demanded Abure’s resignation on the grounds that his term as the party’s Chairman had elapsed.
