The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has delivered a devastating blow to Boko Haram, destroying one of the terrorist group’s key enclaves in the Mandara Mountain region of Borno State.

The airstrike, which took place on March 16, targeted a hideout in Chikide and Degbewa, where Boko Haram militants

had gathered for a high-level meeting. According to Group Captain Kabiru Ali, Deputy Director of Public Relations and

Information, the NAF’s precision strike was the result of careful planning and intelligence gathering.

“Acting on credible Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) data, we identified the location of the terrorist

gathering and launched a coordinated attack,” Ali explained. The airstrike, which was carried out under the cover of

darkness, caught the terrorists off guard, resulting in significant damage to their logistics and command center. “The

strike delivered a crippling blow to the terrorists’ stronghold, disrupting their activities and eliminating scores of

militants,” Ali said.

The destruction of the Boko Haram enclave in Mandara Mountain marks a significant victory for the NAF and the

Nigerian military in their ongoing campaign against terrorism. The Mandara Mountain region has long been a

stronghold of Boko Haram, and the NAF’s success in targeting the group’s hideouts and disrupting their operations is

a major blow to their capabilities.

The NAF’s use of precision airstrikes has been a key factor in their success against Boko Haram. By targeting specific

locations and minimizing collateral damage, the NAF has been able to disrupt the terrorist group’s operations while

also protecting civilians.

In addition to the airstrike, the NAF has also been working to disrupt Boko Haram’s supply lines and communication

networks. This has involved a range of activities, including surveillance and reconnaissance missions, as well as

targeted attacks on terrorist leaders and commanders.

The success of the NAF’s campaign against Boko Haram is a testament to the skill and bravery of the Nigerian

military. Despite the challenges and dangers posed by the terrorist group, the NAF and other security agencies have remained committed to their mission of protecting the people and territory of Nigeria.
