The Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has dissolved all political appointees in the state. The announcement was made on Friday, February 7, at the Executive Council Chambers, Government House, during a valedictory session with the affected appointees.
The dissolution of the political appointees is seen as a major shake-up in the state government, and it is expected to pave the way for new appointments. Governor Sule thanked the outgoing appointees for their services and contributions to the development of the state during their tenure.
The governor also assured the outgoing appointees that some of them may still be re-appointed in other capacities. This move is seen as a way of re-organizing the state government and bringing in fresh ideas and perspectives.
The dissolution of the political appointees is not the only major development in the state government. Governor Sule also swore in a new Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Labaran Magaji, who is the immediate past Commissioner and Attorney General of the state.
In addition to the new Secretary to the State Government, Governor Sule also inaugurated the Sole Administrator of Udege Development Area of Nasarawa Local Government, as well as the Chairman and board members of the College of Education, Akwanga.
Governor Sule charged the new appointees to work hard in assisting his administration to succeed. He also expressed his commitment to moving the state forward and improving the lives of the citizens.

The state government has also announced that Governor Sule has sent a list of 16 commissionership nominees to the state House of Assembly for screening.
