Remo Stars Academy, Beyond Limits, Ikorodu City, Nasarawa United, and El-Kanemi Warriors all have gained promotion from the Nigeria National League to the Nigeria Premier Football League ahead of next season.
The four teams emerged victorious from the thrilling final group matches of the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 playoffs held in Enugu, as they clinched the highly-coveted spots in the elite division of Nigerian football.
Nasarawa was primed for what was considered to be a quick return to the top flight after winning their first two group matches in the Northern Conference at the playoffs and finished their fight in style with a 2-1 win over Sporting Supreme FC.

El-Kanemi Warriors also had an impressive display entertaining the fans with a 4-1 win over Sokoto United to finish second in the group with six points adrift of Nasarawa United. Both clubs returned to the NPFL after a season of relegation.
The Southern Conference, which had Beyond Limits, Madiba FC, Ikorodu City, and Inter Lagos in that order, was open for any of the four teams to qualify before the kick-off of the last group matches.
Top of the table with four points, Beyond Limits left no stone unturned against Inter Lagos, thrashing the team who needed the win most 1-0 to pick their NPFL ticket, where they will play alongside their sister club Remo Stars next season.

Ikorodu City outshined Madiba FC with a 2-0 win, taking a giant leap forward in their journey towards the elite division of Nigerian football.
Toyeeb jeigbe scored a brace for the Oga Boys in either half of the match.
Having finished top of the tables, Nasarawa United and Beyond Limits will battle it out in the final of the NNL Super 8 playoffs on Friday what is considered to be the decider of the champions of the second division league.
