The Nigeria Police Force in Kogi State, through the diligent efforts of SP William Ovye Aya, the Police Public Relations Officer, unveiled a rescue mission that resulted in the liberation of five kidnapped victims in the Adogo forest area.

The victims, who fell into the clutches of kidnappers on the Ajaokuta-Adogo road on May 17th, were safely rescued by the swift and coordinated actions of the Police Operatives under the command of SP Yusuf Hantsi, along with the assistance of local vigilantes.

Following a fierce confrontation with the criminals, the kidnappers were compelled to abandon their captives and flee the scene, and all five victims were rescued unharmed, marking a significant victory in the fight against crime in Kogi State.

Furthermore, the Ankpa Division of the Nigeria Police Force responded promptly to reports of armed hoodlums in the Ojode area of Ankpa. During the operation, conducted with utmost courage, an AK-47 rifle with breech NO. 354951 and two live ammunition were successfully recovered. Unfortunately, the encounter resulted in the tragic loss of Iliyasu Abubakar and left another individual wounded.

SP William Ovye Aya emphasized the dedication and commitment of the Police Force in Kogi State to ensuring the safety and security of all residents. The seamless coordination and efforts of the Police personnel in these operations are a testament to their unwavering resolve to protect the community and combat criminal activities.
