Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has said president Bola Tinubu has been speaking to Nigerians on a daily basis since the allegation of Christian genocide in Nigeria by the US president Donald Trump.
Bwala made this statement in an interview on ‘Prime Time’, a programme on Arise Television.
Recall that Trump recently designated Nigeria as a ‘Country of Particular Concern,ʼ over allegations of Christian genocide in the country.
Trump also threatened that he had asked the Department of War to prepare for possible military action in Nigeria to eliminate Islamic terrorists if the Nigerian government “continues to allow the killing of Christians.”
When asked why the president has not addressed Nigerians on the issue, Bwala said, “If the president speaks to Nigerians through tweet, is that not communication?
“President Tinubu communicating with Nigerians through tweets is a form of communication.
“Issuing a statement is also a form of communication. President Tinubu speaks to Nigerians every day.”
