Governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), in Anambra State, Mr John Nwosu has stated that he supports any political movement that will bring development to the South-East.
He said there was no need for people to worry about former governor of Anambra State and presidential candidate of Labour Party in 2023, Mr Peter Obi not identifying fully with the party, saying he remains a member of the ADC coalition.
Nwosu said this in Awka while speaking with journalists at the ADC secretariat on Sunday.
He maintained that Obi was already a member of the ADC coalition, adding that positions were shared in ADC, and Labour Party as a part of the coalition got a position, which is still being occupied by a nominee of Mr Peter Obi.
“Labour Party where he (Peter Obi) was the presidential candidate in 2023 was among the key parties that make up the coalition of ADC, and they were given key position.
“PDP, which was given the National Chairman of the party, and that was Senator David Mark, then the APC which was given National Secretary, and that is Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, who is the former minister of interior. Labour party is represented by Hon Chinedu Idigo, appointed by His Excellency, Mr Peter Obi as the National Organizing Secretary and ADC as a party was given Welfare.
“So you can see that he (Mr Peter Obi) has been a part of us from the very inception of this coalition,” he said.
