Rev Ezekiel Dachomo has raised alarm over escalating threats against Christian communities in Plateau State. He disclosed that extremist groups are collecting N100,000 from women and N200,000 from men to procure weapons for attacks ahead of the Christmas season.
Speaking at the Glory Dome in Abuja, the cleric said intelligence indicates that these contributions are intended to fund a planned “jihad” targeting Christian settlements.
“They have vowed we will not spend our Christmas this year. They say we will run with rice in our hands because they are ready for Jihad,” Dachomo said.
He noted that prayer remains the strongest defense for residents. “Your prayer is more than AK-47. It’s more than rocket launchers. Let’s launch our prayers to heaven,” he said.
“Christians must be safe. There is a genocide in Nigeria. Pray for us in Jesus’ name,” he appealed.
