During a solidarity visit to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) at the Makurdi International Market camp, he vowed that their ancestral lands remain protected.
the Yelewata IDPs has witnessed many visits at the aftermath of the attack, including the Benue Speaker who in his visit to the Yelewata IDPs said “No one will take your land,” Dajoh firmly declared on Tuesday, July 22, while addressing the traumatized IDPs at the temporary camp facility.
This visit formed part of the Assembly’s broader initiative to monitor and assess the welfare of displaced persons across the affected regions.
On June 13, suspected armed Fulani herdsmen reportedly launched a brutal attack on Yelewata, leading to over 200 estimated casualties.
