1. Meeting with Stakeholders at the RSIEC Headquarters, 239-243 PH/Aba Express Road, Port Harcourt Monday, 28th July, 2025

2 . Announcement of postponement of election and announcement of new date for postponed elections (S.13(5) and 20 (1) (a) of RSIEC Law No. 2 of 2018 (as amended)) Monday, 28th July, 2025

3 . Expression of Interest by Political Parties (S.21 of RSIEC Law No. 2 of 2018 (as amended)) Monday, 28th July, 2025 to Wednesday, 30th July, 2025

4 . Submission of Venue, Date and Time for party primaries Thursday, 31st July, 2025 to Friday, 1st August, 2025

5 . Holding of Party Primary Elections (S.13(7) of RSIEC Law No. 2 of 2018 (as amended)) Friday, 1st August, 2025 to Saturday, 2nd August, 2025

6 . Submission of Names of candidates by Political Parties that emerged from the Primaries (S.13(8) of RSIEC Law No. 2 of 2018 (as amended)) Saturday, 2nd August, 2025 to Monday, 4th August, 2025

7.  Issuance of Nomination forms to candidates for Chairmanship and Councillorship that emerged from the party primaries upon their payment of the respective deposits (S.22, 23(2), (3) of RSIEC Law No. 2 of 2018 (as amended)) Tuesday, 5th August, 2025 to Wednesday, 6th August, 2025

8 . Last day for return of completed nomination forms by Candidates at the RSIEC Headquarters, 239-243 PH/Aba Express Road, Port Harcourt Thursday, 7th August, 2025

9 . Determination of Validity of Nomination Papers (S.24(1), (2), and (3) of RSIEC Law No. 2 of 2018 (as amended)) Friday, 8th August, 2025 to Saturday, 9th August, 2025

10. Notification to Political Parties of invalid nomination or validity of nomination by Political Parties of initial nomination (S.24(4) of RSIEC Law No. 2 of 2018 (as amended)) Friday, 8th August, 2025 to Saturday, 9th August, 2025

11.  Submission of second Nomination paper by candidates whose nomination was adjudged invalid (S.24(5) of RSIEC Law No. 2 of 2018 (as amended)) Monday, 11th August, 2025 to Tuesday, 12th August, 2025

12. Extension of time for Nomination in case of Uncontested election for Chairmanship (S.29(1) (a) and (b) of RSIEC Law No. 2 of 2018 (as amended)) Wednesday, 13th August, 2025

13. Screening of Candidates that emerged from Party Primaries Friday, 8th August, 2025 to Saturday, 9th August, 2025

14. Delivery of List of Qualified/Rejected Candidates to Political Parties (S.21(2) of RSIEC Law No. 2 of 2018 (as amended)) Tuesday, 12th August, 2025

15. Electoral campaign begins Monday, 11th August, 2025

16. Substitution of Candidates and screening of Chairmanship candidates not nominated at the first instance (S.21(3) of RSIEC Law No. 2 of 2018 (as amended)) Monday, 11th August, 2025 to Wednesday, 13th August, 2025

17. Determination of issues arising from the screening of Candidates (S.21(5) of RSIEC Law No. 2 of 2018 (as amended)) Wednesday, 14th August, 2025 to Friday, 15th August, 2025

18. Training of Adhoc Staff Saturday, 16th August, 2025 to Monday, 18th August, 2025

19. Withdrawal of Candidature by the Candidate himself (S.26 of RSIEC Law No. 2 of 2018 (as amended)) Tuesday, 19th August, 2025

20. Submission in writing of names, passport photographs and addresses of Party Agents with the Polling Stations/units to which they have been assigned by the Political Parties (S.30 of RSIEC Law No. 2 of 2018 (as amended)) Wednesday, 20th August, 2025

21. Publication of Notice of date and time of poll, full names and addresses of the candidates/ location of polling station or unit & Display of Voter’s Register at every unit (S.39 of RSIEC Law No. 2 of 2018 (as amended)) Thursday, 21st August, 2025

22. Return of Nomination form for replaced Candidates and last date for submission of name of substituted candidates and screening Friday, 22nd August, 2025

23. Publication of names of Candidates, their Nominators, Addresses and Occupation at the RSIEC Headquarters, 239-243 PH/Aba Express Road, Port Harcourt (Final List) (S.25 of RSIEC Law No. 2 of 2018 (as amended)) Saturday, 23rd August, 2025

24. Electoral Campaign ends Midnight Thursday, 28th August, 2025

25. Election into Local Govt. Councils <br> 1st Run-Off for Chairmanship election (S.30(4) of RSIEC Law No. 2 of 2018 (as amended)) Saturday, 30th August, 2025 <br> Saturday, 6th September, 2025

26. Election in Wards with no nominated candidates (S.30(4) of RSIEC Law No. 2 of 2018 (as amended)) Saturday, 6th September, 2025

27. 2nd poll in cases where election did not hold (S.30(4) of RSIEC Law No. 2 of 2018 (as amended)) Saturday, 6th September, 2025

28. 2nd Run-off for Chairmanship election (S.30(5) of RSIEC Law No. 2 of 2018 (as amended)) Saturday, 13th September, 2025
