After weeks of intense negotiations, Galatasaray has finally secured a €75 million transfer deal for Victor Osimhen.
The Victor Osimhen transfer saga sparked massive interest across Europe after Turkish giants Galatasaray submitted multiple bids, all initially rejected by Napoli.
Napoli firmly insisted on receiving nothing less than the €75 million release clause stated in Osimhen’s current contract.
Despite three failed attempts, Osimhen remained persistent, reportedly asking Napoli’s Sporting Director Giovanni Manna to ease the move.
Last season, the Nigerian striker spent time on loan at Galatasaray, where he expressed a strong desire to return permanently.
He turned down a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal, focusing instead on rejoining the reigning Turkish champions.
However, negotiations stalled after Napoli demanded strict financial assurances, including full bank guarantees for the complete transfer amount.
Galatasaray returned with a fourth offer, including improved financial commitments and formal guarantees to meet Napoli’s demands.
Finally, in this round of talks, both clubs reached a verbal agreement and are set to exchange documents within 24 hours.
The payment structure involves €40 million upfront and another €35 million due in 2026 to complete the transaction.
Additionally, Napoli will earn 10% of any future profit if Galatasaray resells Osimhen in the next transfer window.
Performance-based bonuses and a clause preventing Osimhen’s sale to any Italian club for two years were also included.
This transfer cements Galatasaray’s ambition to dominate Turkish and European football with top-tier international signings like Osimhen.
Osimhen’s goal-scoring record and UEFA Champions League experience bring high expectations for the club’s upcoming season.
